The reason for the replacement is admirable: one of the cafe's "beloved" baristas, Diana Acevedo of Ossining, is leaving for the Air Force at the end of the month.
“She is a great person and such a dedicated barista," Breno Donatti from WSC told the Daily Voice. "She has gotten lots of rave reviews from customers. We are very proud that she has chosen the path of Air Force to serve our country."
The coffee shop is located on the second floor of the Croton Harmon Station. The position includes duties like making coffee, cashiering and restocking.
The anticipated hours for this position are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. with some flexibility. In total, the new hire will work from 35 to 40 hours per week.
Applicants should also be able to speak English reasonably well, lift 25 pounds and stand for at least six hours.
Other desirable traits include:
- Personable attitude/smile
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and with cash registers
- Reliability and punctuality
- Honesty and trustworthiness
